Visualizing Mobile
I use my iPad to answer emails in the evening, a CRM app to track clients and mobile web to check project progress. Mobile permeates every bit of my job, and I can’t imagine doing business without it.

Working in this industry makes it easy for me to live in a bubble where I assume the rest of the world is just as reliant on mobile as I am, but new stats show that assumption may not be far off the mark.

Today, 96% of small businesses say they rely on mobile technology and 34% say it gives them a competitive advantage. Mobile access to documents, contacts and emails is no longer a luxury, it’s a necessity, and small businesses are slowly adopting more advanced uses of mobile. Some of the biggest mobile champions are doing things like developing mobile versions of existing core products and using mobile for faster and more accurate data collection.

The infographic below, provided by mCommerce company Intuit, looks at the overall sentiment of mobility in small businesses and the most common ways companies are incorporating mobile.
