Beatport, the leader in electronic music downloads, wanted to put its catalog in the hands of DJs worldwide and add an additional revenue stream via mobile.
We made their library of over 1.5 million songs available for streaming and purchase from the iPhone and gave users the chance to flip through Top 100 sales charts, featured releases, and artist charts from the most popular DJs and producers around the world.
Driving transactions through an iPhone app is no simple task, but when done correctly, in-app purchasing can generate high revenue. Beatport wanted to create an intuitive mashup tool for budding musicians to mix tracks from their favorite artists.
