Speed and accuracy are of the essence for physicians, and not just because it allows them to help more patients. Touch Medix sought to maximize reimbursement with a thorough and streamlined method of documenting patient health.
Mutual Mobile helped Touch Medix develop an effective digital replacement for the clipboards doctors have been carrying for years, starting with research on the breadth of documents used in a physician’s daily routine and the most accurate means of using iPads to input data. Lightning Charts’ voice-to-text solution allowed doctors to quickly input data on the fly, and 1,700 pre-populated templates put a library of medical documents at physicians’ fingertips. Software engineers ensured Lightning Charts would be PQRS compliant, making the app truly an extension of the company’s core medical software
As a result of Lightning Charts’ thorough and fast design, practices have been able to collect an estimated 900 to 1,000 charts that were being lost annually, resulting in an average 17% increase in collections.
