“Stud or Dud” and “Are They Really Single?” are two apps made to optimize your sleuthing efforts as a man or woman on the market (or not). “Are They Really Single?” allows users to enter the name and location of any person of interest. The app searches for marriage records, shared residences, and other relevant data in order to determine whether connected people are relatives, friends, or married. “Stud Or Dud” will report if someone has a marriage, divorce, professional license, bankruptcy, stable address history, criminal past, or property.

On December 5th, 2009, ten giant red weather balloons were tethered at ten random locations around the continental United States. The event was part of the 2009 Darpa Grand Challenge, a military prize competition. The app allowed anyone to submit balloon sightings instantly, and the team that correctly identified the locations of the most balloons won. The application was created by Mutual Mobile founders, who came in 7th place in the competition. The application was featured on ABCNews.com.

Look Closer
At its simplest, Look Closer turns the iPhone camera into a magnifying glass with 4 levels of magnification. IntelliCrop© software centers the image being viewed through the camera. The app can be used to enlarge really small font so that it can be read easily, or magnify something to study it better or take a picture. Written and illustrated pages can also be photographed. Once magnified, the iPhone’s scrolling and pinch zoom capabilities can be used to look at the page.
